Tallahassee Memorial Behavioral Health Center

The Tallahassee Memorial Behavioral Health Center offers inpatient and outpatient services to children and adults. They also have a Behavioral Emergency Services Team (BEST) for those admitted to the ER. All services are for both mental health and substance use disorders.

HCA Florida Capital Hospital

The HCA Florida Capital Hospital offers inpatient and outpatient services for adults 18 and older. They also have an adolescent program for those aged 13 – 17, as well as an outpatient service designed specifically for college students. They specialize in treating numerous mental health conditions as well as substance use disorders.

Apalachee Center

The Apalachee Center offers inpatient and outpatient services to children, adults, and families. They also offer residential and telehealth services as well as a mobile response team. Services are offered for psychiatric or substance use crises.

Tallahassee Mental Health Resources for Non-Emergencies

Ability1st

Nutrition and Wellness and Counseling Services and Eating Disorder Recovery Center, offering nutrition and wellness counseling as well as individual support resources for all ages. Celebrate Recovery

Christ-centered program offered by the Killearn Methodist Church to help individuals through group meetings on Friday nights. Offers dinner, large groups, and small groups. Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA)

An adults-only support group for anybody with a mood disorder, as well as friends and family. They meet every Monday at 7PM – 8:30PM and are located at Apalachee Center 2634 Capital Circle N.E. Disc Village

Offers a large variety of mental health services and substance abuse treatments, including residential treatment. Also hosts community events. Florida Veteran’s Support Line

Florida State University Psychology Clinic

Offers affordable outpatient Tallahassee mental health resources and services while providing experience for graduate students in the Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology. Mental Health Council of the Big Bend

Formed in 2015 to provide a forum for mental health providers, scholars and advocates to address mental health needs in our community. The Mental Health Council of the Big Bend is the only entity in Leon County comprised of mental health subject matter experts and related stakeholder dedicated specifically to employing a data-driven approach to assessing mental health services in Florida’s Big Bend region. National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)

NAMI Florida

The NAMI Florida website has information on statewide programs, local chapters, and upcoming training opportunities for NAMI volunteers and program leaders. Their website is namiflorida.org.

Oxford Houses

Postpartum Depression Support

Offers conferences, research studies, and support to promote awareness and treatment of mental health issues related to childbearing. Tallahassee Pediatric Behavioral Health Center

Provides the integration of behavioral health services for children and families through referrals from area physicians, the Early Learning Coalition and community partners. Established in 2017 as an initiative of Whole Child Leon in partnership with the Tallahassee Pediatric Foundation, the Center’s goal is to provide a through intake assessment and connect families with resources based on identified needs, removing barriers that often prohibit successful referrals. The Trevor Project

Founded in 1998, The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) young people ages 13-24. UPSLIDE Program at the Tallahassee Senior Center

UPSLIDE (Utilizing and Promoting Social Engagement for Loneliness, Isolation and Depression in the Elderly) is a program designed to identify and reduce isolation, loneliness, and depression in at-risk people 50 and older. The program offers individual counseling and guidance in finding meaningful activities and friendly chat groups to make becoming socially active easier.
